Happy 2010!!!!

Wow-just realized it has been forever since I have updated this blog!!! It has been a very busy past few months with fall weddings-Christmas pictures and we moved into town(Pearl City) during all of that! I hope everyone out there had a wonderful Christmas and was able to spend quality time with the family!

As the new year rolls in, a few changes will be made with the studio.

1. The studio has been relocated! I will miss being in my old location-but it’s a good change for me! I am now located at 410 South Main Street(still in Pearl City) right across the road from the Methodist Church. I am now strictly available by appointment only as the studio is in my home. 2. Beginning January 1st, 2010, I will no longer be doing online proofing. All proof viewing will be done at the studio within 2 weeks of your session. A proof viewing appointment will be set up at the time of your session. One bonus to this is that all orders placed at this initial appointment will receive a 10% discount!!
   

More children’s specials will also be available this year. My goal is to eventually have them monthly-but I will probably start every other month or so to begin with. These sessions will involve some type of “theme”. So-if anyone out there has any neat ideas or something you would like to see-please let me know-I want your opinions too!! Also-if you want to be on the mailing list for these specials-please send an email to me letting me know-include your name-address-phone and email address.

Halloween Portrait Event

This Saturday, October 31st-bring your kids and/or pets to the studio in their halloween costume for the Halloween Portrait Event. Sessions are still available-call today to set your time up!!

A beautiful outdoor wedding

I LOVE outdoor weddings-except that the weather sometimes doesn't cooperate! Saturday was not looking good for an outdoor wedding-but the rain magically went away just in time to start pictures. It was a little chilly-but we all survived! Zach & Jamie were such a sweet couple to work with and the view we had for pictures and the ceremony was amazing! The wedding took place at the top of a hill just outside of Stockton. They had wagon rides to take the guests up the hill-how fun!! Congratulations guys-I am so glad I was a part of you special day!!

Fall Family Portrait Special

The days are getting cooler....the leaves are changing colors....it's time to start thinking about family portraits. The beautiful fall colors make a wonderful background for your photos. In addition, family portraits make great Christmas gifts-can you believe that is just around the corner...where has the year gone!

A summer full of Weddings

School Portrait Time!!

It's that time of the year again for your child's school portraits...some may look forward to it....others may not!! Are you tired of the same school pictures every year? Worried about how they will turn out? Well-time for a change! I am now offering School Portrait Mini-Sessions during the month of September. Book your mini-session on any Tuesday or Thursday night in September and pay NO session fee-and as an added BONUS-bring your school portrait order form along with you to your session and you pay those prices/packages-how awesome is that!!!!! You MUST bring along the order form to your session to receive those prices/packages-and order must be paid for at that time!

Sneak Peak: James & Nicole

This fun couple was in last weekend for their engagement session....and they couldn't forget their furry little friend-who did not enjoy the car ride to the studio!! We started at the studio and finished up out at Krape Park-we battled the full sun and a lot of people at the park-who knew everybody would be at the park on a beautiful Sunday afternoon!!! I had a lot of fun guys-hope you enjoy your sneak peak!!

Alex was in this morning for his senior portraits. He came in willingly-mom didn't have to drag him in like a lot guys do....and he had great ideas of his own-including the lockers-which I picked up just for his session-which has now found a permanent location in the studio for those that want to use them also. Kids.kids..and more kids!

I LOVE photographing children-they keep me on my toes!! These are a few recent sessions with some repeat clients of mine. All cooperated pretty well-I would have to say the 3 boys were the busiest!! Thanks for coming in guys and I can't wait till the cake session tomorrow night Kayla-look forward to those coming soon!

Hey everyone!! Just wanted to let you all know I have a booth again out at the Stephenson County Fair in Freeport this week-July 14th-19th. I am in the gray building at the north end. Come out and see me-I will be running daily specials you won't want to miss-along with a drawing at the end of the week for the grand prize of a $200 gift certificate!!!!! Just look for the bright colors-yes I am going for a change with my style-no more red/gold/black-now it is bright fun colors!! I also have something special for the 1st 200 kids that visit with their parents! So come on out-I hope to see you(I will be there all day long all week long)!!

Andrea + Eric: Beautiful Wedding in Galena

Andrea & Eric had a beautiful wedding this weekend at the Ramada in Galena, IL. We had rain/storms the days before and even the day after-but it held off just for them on their wedding day so they were able to have their outdoor ceremony!
